A partner since 2000, Amy came to Butler Associates in 1988 after learning the financial planning process at IDS/American Express and as a stockbroker with Kidder, Peabody and Company. Her credentials include Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL) professional designations. Amy also has served as president of the local chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, an organization in which she remains active today.
A passion for speaking combined with an in-depth understanding of her field affords Amy many opportunities to educate professional organizations, workplaces and other audiences at the regional and national level about the benefits of financial planning.
Amy is particularly well versed in the areas of saving for retirement, defined benefit plans, and managing lump-sum payouts and 401(k) distributions.
